Anyone used Purl Soho sewing kits?

Hello all,
I've been feeling a little craftsy (fall does that to me) and I've been pondering how to get started doing some sewing for my soon to be 1yo. I have heard good things about Purl Soho's knitting kits (and I certainly think their patterns/yarns are high quality); has anyone had first or secondhand experience with their sewing kits?
https://www.purlsoho.com/kits/smocked-dress-shirt-kit.html is what I am looking at. I realize I could go out and get everything myself, but it seems so ... nice ... to be able to start with everything prepared.
(Not sure how to tag this!)
