September sewing summary

Hi sewists! What have you been sewing? What are you planning to sew soon? Are you stuck on anything? Anything to show off? Any cool new techniques learned or tools acquired?
I have finally finished sewing test sleeves, and so my next project will be making myself a long-sleeved top in oil-green crinkle linen. It’s autumn here now, so hopefully this will be a nice thing to wear in the cooler weather.
Also in progress is a removable curtain for my gazebo, to increase the footprint of its shade. The gazebo came with a strip of the fuzzy side of velcro all around the top of it, so I just had to put some fabric together and add bits of the hook side. I’m using scrap fabric for this, and it’s turned out to have a nice sort-of “stained glass” effect, like in the Korean quilting technique that yhlee and I were discussing in January.
Photo below (click to embiggen) — the bottom edge is untrimmed and unhemmed because I’m going to make it longer. But it’s already usable.
