I agree on the zigzagged edge. From what I could tell, it was going to add lumpiness. I think if I decided to use that pattern in future, I'd press the seam allowance so that it would end up between the layers, and then turn it inside out and whip stitch together after inverting. The pouch I made was very easy to turn inside out, so I imagine that that one would be as well
