Since it came up, I'd like to ask the comm how we feel about the on-topic-ness of allied crafts, e.g. dyeing, weaving, spinning, lace-making, tatting, crochet, knitting, whatever as well as sewing (machine sewing, patterns/pattern-drafting, tailoring, embroidery types like Hardanger or blackwork or Japanese silk embroidery, cross stitch, etc.).
